We're glad that you're part of Cub Scout Pack 95! Below, you'll find some information about upcoming events and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Pack Dues are due for the new scouting year. Our local pack dues are $60 per scout, which covers the cost of the advancement awards scouts receive (belt loops/pins, neckerchiefs, etc.) as well as activities such as pine wood derby cars and such. These pack dues can be paid through Venmo to @Benbrook-Pack-95 (which comes up as Re Jd Switlik) or to your den leader in cash or check. This is separate from the national/council scouting dues, which are either paid when your scout is officially signed up or for those returning are billed annually directly through Scouting America.
Any Questions, Please email Jared Abraham at [email protected]. Replying to this email will not work.

- This is the banquet at which scouts who have completed all requirements receive their rank awards. The Arrow of Lights bridge to the Troop after this as well, leaving the Pack.

- We will set up the gym that morning, for those able to help put out tables and chairs, build the stage, etc.
- We are also in need of raffle baskets or silent auction items. If you or your business have items or services that you'd like to donate, it could be a good way to clean out your garage or bring visibility to your business, while helping the Pack. Talk with Jared if you do.

- We will return to Camp Wisdom (a short 30 minute or so drive) where scouts can play in a cave system, a castle, dual pirate ships, a fort, etc.
- More details and a sign up will be coming in the future, but mark your calendars now!
- Snake Night!!! - April 13 - 7:00 PM - BUMC CLC Gym
- Invite friends because this is always a fun night, and it could be a good recruiting option
- The pack and troop will join together at 7 PM and there'll be boxes of snakes that scouts can handle and share around. There's a few other reptiles too usually.
- Raingutter Regatta/Den Crossover Ceremony - Morning of May 16 - BUMC Parking Lot
- This event marks the end of regular den meetings for the scouting year. Scouts will build and race boats with awards for winning races as well as for boat design.

Ways to Get Involved
Parent Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month, at 6:00 PM at BUMC.
- Parent meetings are open to all parents of scouts or other adults interested in helping at in Pack 95.
- At these meetings, we plan for the upcoming month's events and we would love to have everyone's input!
- We also just need additional help, as several of our most active adults have older scouts and will be moving to the Troop in the next year or two.
- The next Parent meeting will be held on Tuesday 2/3 at 6:00 PM at BUMC.
Please join us as a leader! The next Parent Meeting to help plan upcoming events is on Tuesday 11/4 at 6 PM at BUMC. If you can attend, please do, to help spread the load of running the pack. We need adults to step into the following leadership positions:
- Pack Committee Members - This is the easiest entry point to helping out the pack, and it only involves coming to our monthly Parent Meetings and giving your input, as we plan upcoming events. Starting here is great and likely the best option! The parent meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, at 6:00 PM. I'll look forward to seeing you there 😉!
- Den Leaders are needed in the younger den areas (Lions, Tigers, Wolves). Currently, they are meeting together, but as they grow, we'll want to think about splitting them up, to not overwhelm our current den leader, make them inviting for new scouts, and be able to have each scout have activities intended solely for their level. If interested in helping out with the leadership of these dens, let's talk!
- Pack Fundraising Coordinator/Popcorn Kernel - The purpose of fundraising in Pack 95 is to give scouts the opportunity to pay their own way in scouting, giving ways by which pack dues can be covered besides just paying them directly (which is also ok). In the past our main fundraisers have been to sell poinsettias and wreaths before Christmas and then to sell Lillies before Easter. We're open to other options though, such as joining the Scouting America Popcorn sales; there are very good opportunities with this, but we need someone who is willing to help with that.
- Committee Chair - Our current committee chair's cub scout will bridge to the troop in February, so we need both need to thank Mrs. Lasiter and replace her. The committee chair's role is to lead the monthly parent meetings and oversee the planning of future events. This person would be part of the Key 3, a co-equal leader in the pack with the Pack Master (Mr. Abraham) and the Charter Organization Representative (Mr. Switlik). Impress your friends and family by referring to yourself as one-third of the Key 3 in Pack 95 🤣
