Quick note on the Open Class, this does not have to be a new built car. If a younger sibling wants to race and you have an old car available, sign them up! If you have an older scout that wants to race their car from 5 years ago, Great! If dad keeps interfering, hand him last years car and tell him to go away and race one himself! The open bracket is more fun the more competition that is available.

We still do not have an exact time for setup on Friday. It depends on when the YMCA is done practicing as they rent the gym out on Fridays. I will update when I have a better idea. Thanks!!

The Pinewood Derby will be held Saturday January 20th at BUMC. Registration will be from 8:15 AM till 8:45 AM. We will have our Open class this year for siblings and parents that would like to participate.

Friday evening, January 19th, we will be setting the track up as well as decorating. After setup we will have time available to test run your scout's car for those that helped setup. If you are wanting to test their vehicle, PLEASE help set up. The setup time is still to be determined due to the gym being rented for basketball practice.

I have included the official car rules below. If you have any questions or need assistance, please let your den leader or myself know. We have people available that can help cut out your car if you do not have the tools. The Scout Shop on Granbury Road carries a full stock of car accessories and stickers to help decorate the vehicles as well as tune them. Hobby Lobby also caries some Pinewoody Derby accessories on their model car row.

Pre-registration of your scouts vehicle is located at https://forms.gle/akVy2tc2BzUhfSfPA . This will help speed up check in on race day as well as help us setup the presentation.
